On the seventh day, some inspiration

How does a photographer become a photographer? Do they have a natural talent? Or do they learn from practice? I think it´s a mixture of both things. Extraordinary photographers know how to create a good image in a natural way but that would be nothing without good skills.

Sergio Larraín explains his nephew how to become a photographer. I wish it would be so easy… anyway he gives him really good advices. Hard work, common sense, critical spirit, a big amount of patience, learn from other photographers…

Many photographers agree to these guidelines. Paul Strand wrote a letter to the students of photography, saying something similar.

I always prefer to listen to what the most important photographers in history have to say to the beginners. But internet offers thousand of tips to become a better photographer or learn better photographic techniques. Though it is highly unlikely that, with these tips, you end up workin for Magnum or National Geographic.

I´m doing my homework. I work everyday, have patience and learn from good photographers. This week I´ve discovered wonderful portfolios to share:

Magic compositions of a child interacting wiht animals in a daily context

Poetic landscapes during fire

A real wild idea and creative 365 project

– Childhood summer memories

An amazing project involving strangers

Have a nice week
